Member of Pioneer Marin Co. Family Passes Suddenly
Mabel F. Treanor, member of one of the pioneer families of Marin County, passed away at her home at Fairfax, where she was born 59 years ago.
Death came suddenly Monday following a stroke of apoplexy on Sunday.
Mrs. Treanor was a granddaughter of the late Harvey H. Butterfield, one of the large land owners in the Fairfax and San Anselmo district.
She is survived by Harry F. Treanor, Chief of Fire Dept. of Ross; and Peter Treanor, Mrs. Grace Parkins, Mrs. Mildred Gianocca, Mrs. Carrie Martincich. Another son, William A. Treanor was electrocuted at Guerneville several years ago. She was the daughter of Mrs. Helen Reynolds.
Mrs. Treanor was a charter member of the Gennessee Council D. of P.; and a member of Marinet Parlor N. D. G. W. and San Anselmo Unit American Legion Auxiliary.
Funeral service was conducted at 11 o’clock from the Keaton and Dusel Parlor under the auspice of Marinita Parlor, N. D, G. W. Interment was at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
During her active life Mrs. Treanor was interested in social welfare work and was one of the outstanding charity workers in the county.
