Funeral Rites Tomorrow For R. H. Trumbull, Sr.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Robert H. Trumbull, Marin supervisor and long-time public official, who died suddenly this week.

Trumbull, who was born in San Rafael but lived the greater part of his 75 years in Novato, had been hospitalized. He was stricken with a heart attack Wednesday night and died shortly thereafter.

In addition to serving on the county board of supervisors, the Marin man was also one of the original members of the Golden Gate Bridge district.

Trumbull had been associated with the Novato Land company, a San Rafael Lumber company, the Poultry Producers of Central California, and the Marin Municipal Water district.

He was first elected a supervisor in 1946.

The county official was a member of Marin Lodge No. 191, F. and A.M., Mt. Olivet Commandery No. 20, Knights Templar; Islam Temple Shrine; I.S.E.S., Novato, and First Presbyterian church of San Rafael.

Friends of the supervisor may call at Harry M. Williams mortuary in San Rafael until noon tomorrow. The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Shrinerís Hospital for Cripple Children in San Francisco.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the First Presbyterian church of San Rafael. Inurnment will be private.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: he was the husband of Edith B.; father of Mrs. Wilbur F. Kimball of Sacramento, and Robert H. Trumbull Jr. of Kentfield; brother of Miss Vine Trumbull and Jean T. Smith of Berkeley; grandfather of Robert H. Trumbull III, Richard and Edith Lynn Kimball.
