IRENE M. WAGONER
Irene M. Wagoner of Novato died yesterday at a local convalescent hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Wagoner, 84, was born in Chicago and raised in Omaha. She moved with her husband, Henry S. Wagoner, to California in 1921 and lived primarily in the Los Angeles area until 1965, when t hey moved to Los Gatos. She moved to Novato last year to be near family members.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Church in Los Gatos. She was secretary of the Los Gatos Senior Citizens. While in Los Angeles she was president of the Beverly Hills Post of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors are her husband of Novato, her daughter, Eleanor Greenfield, also of Novato, and seven grandchildren.
Her son, Robert Wagoner, had died earlier.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Los Gatos at 11 a.m. tomorrow followed by burial at Oakhill Cemetery in San Jose.
