Forrest R. Moore, a former resident of Marin, died today at a Sparks, Nev., hospital after a long illness. He was 68.
Moore was born in Bastrop, Tex., and came to Daly City some 30 years ago. He lived in Tamalpais Valley for many years and worked as a carpenter and operated a commercial fishing boat, the Carolyn II, out of Sausalito.
Moore then moved to North Lake Tahoe and continued to work as a carpenter. Recently he and his wife, Edna, had been living is Sparks.
Moore is survived by his wife, a daughter, Carolyn White of Novato; a son, Curtis Moore of Novato; a brother, Henry Moore of Anchorage, Alaska, and six grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 4 p.m. tomorrow at Alexander’s Pyramid mortuary in Sparks. Burial arrangements are pending.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
