Body of Esberg Recovered
Last Monday Henry Esberg, a popular young resident of Duncanís Mills, was drowned in Russian River a short distance below the town. At the time he was swimming across the river to get a boat.
Every effort was made with the grappling irons to recover the body all the week. Friday, dynamite was exploded in the water in the hope that the concussion might dislodge the body should it be held down by something.
Friday afternoon the searchers were rewarded for their diligence, for all of a sudden the unfortunate young manís head suddenly appeared above the water. The body was removed from the water and was carried to a nearby building. The inquest was held Saturday.
