Remains of Late Tom Elliott Brought Home for Burial
Funeral services for the late Tom Elliott, member of a pioneer Marin county family, who passed away in El Centro, January 14 were held in Glendale Monday, Jan. 20. The services were delayed until the 20th because of the passing of three prominent Southern California officials of Wells Fargo Co., with whom Mr. Elliott had been connected for fifty years.
The body was brought to Mr. Elliott’s boyhood home for burial in the family plot at Tamalpais Cemetery. Owing to stormy weather the remains were placed temporarily in the vault.
Accompanying the family on the trip up from Glendale was Mr. William Lord of Stockton, who had entered the firm of Wells Fargo on the same day, 53 years ago, as Tom Elliott, his friend and co-worker for half a century.
