Unrequited Love Is Rancher’s Motive For Taking His Life
Manuel Victornio (sic), 64, living on the Brazil ranch, Big Lagoon district, shot himself through the head Tuesday, and died four hours later in the Cottage Hospital.
Dep. Sheriff Fellows was called to the ranch when Victornio’s daughter, Mrs. Dolly Santos, telephoned that her father had killed himself.
A suicide note indicated that Mr. Victornio (sic) was despondent because of a broken engagement with a Vallejo woman.
“I love her with all my heart … This is too much, and I can’t take it,” read the note.
