Rail Crash Victim Funeral Saturday
Funeral services for John T. Pimentel have been scheduled for Saturday morning. Pimentel, a Novato ranch worker, was killed yesterday morning when a railroad engine and caboose hit the car in which he was going to work. He was 52 years old.
A native of the Azores Islands, Pimentel had been working in the Novato area for about five years. He is survived by his wife, Almerinda Pimentel of the Azores Islands, and four children, Franklin Pimentel of Novato, Elisen, Jose and Alberto Pimentel of the Azores Islands. Other survivors are three brothers, Manuel T. Pimentel of Ignacio, Joseph T. Pimentel of Sonoma and Antonio T. Pimentel of t he Azores Islands.
Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m at Keaton's, San Rafael. A Requiem Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. at St. Raphael's Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the Keaton chapel.
