MARY L. MILDREN
Memorial services for Mary L. Mildren, 82, of Mill Valley, a retired bookkeeper and secretary, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church of Mill Valley, Camino Alto and Sycamore Avenue.
Mrs. Mildren died Saturday at Marin General Hospital after an illness.
She was a native of Tacoma, Wash., who attended Stadium High School and Washington State College in Pullman.
Mrs. Mildren had worked as a bookkeeper and secretary in Tacoma, Wash., Seattle, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Her paintings, combining art and music, were the result of her early study in music and art at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
She was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and the Senior Citizens Center in San Francisco.
Mrs. Mildren had lived in Mill Valley about a year and previously had lived in San Francisco.
Surviving are two sisters, Marjorie Reinecke, with whom she was living in Mill Valley, and Helen Kay Hoyer of Pe Ell, Wash.; and a brother, William J. Kennedy of Pacific Grove.
