Mrs. Becker Answers Last Summons
Surrounded by all who were dear to her, Anna Margaret Becker, beloved wife of Ex-town Trustee C. H. Becker, quietly responded to the call from above on Wednesday evening about eleven o'clock. While the announcement of her death was a severe shock to her loving friends, it was expected as she has been ill from diabetes for many months and it was surprising the great vitality she possessed.
The funeral will be held today and the remains will be cremated in Cypress Lawn cemetery. Funeral services will be held at her late home and also at the cemetery.
She was a native of Hoch Weisel, Germany, aged 63 years, two months and a member of Mill Valley Lodge, No. 210, Order of Eastern Star.
She was the beloved wife of ExTown Trustee C. H. Becker, and mother of J. O. Becker, keeper of Anno Nuevo lighthouse near Santa Cruz; Phillip Becker and Mrs. I. E. Noyes, and grandmother of Anna and Raymond Noyes.
Forty-one years ago she was married to her loving helpmate who is very deeply grieved over the loss of one who was always a true wife and a good mother. They always led a very happy life and she was a woman that was always highly esteemed by all and had a very motherly interest in the welfare of all.
She has been a resident of Marin for twenty-five years most of which has been spent in Sausalito. The Beckers first came to Marin in 1879, living in San Rafael for nearly three years.
The community extends its sincere sympathy to the bereaved family in their hour of grief.
