Mr. F. MYER, father-in-law of John Schnell, died here last Saturday after a short but painful illness. Mr. Myer had long suffered with asthma, and during the inclement weather of January, he grew much worse, having several hemorrhages of the lungs, which prostrated him, and from the effects of which he never fully rallied. He was a genial and social man and well liked by all who knew him. His earthly labor closed as United States Mail Carrier for the local office up to the close of the Burns administration, a feeling of fraternal friendship existed between us. His funeral took place from Mr. Schnellís last Monday, under the auspices of the Red Men, of which Mr. Myer was an old and respected member.
