Wills Filed For Probate
….Another will filed for probate was that of Mrs. L. S. Avery, who died in Sausalito last Tuesday. The instrument is dated April 29, 1899, and witnessed by Rev. Charles L. Miel and Loretta G. Barrett. The estate is appraised at $250,000, and Francis Avery, the husband, and Henry C. Campbell are named as executors. The family residence in Sausalito is devised to Miss Ella Avery Reed, together with the family plate. Russell Avery is bequeathed $10,000 in cash, with a number of the family heirlooms, and Lieutenant Howard Avery a like sum, with a silver cake basket and butter dish. Mrs. Clara S. Neff, wife of George W. Neff, residing at Newport, Ky., is bequeathed $5,000.
The residue of the estate is bequeathed in trust to her executors. The income of the estate is to be paid to her husband, and upon his death is to be divided equally among the children. Howard Avery is to receive $10,000 more than the other children, because of advances that have been made to them.
