Johnson Children Heirs To Estate
By a petition granted this week by Judge E. I. Butler, Mrs. Elsa Lichtenberg Johnson was awarded the guardianship of her four children, who are heirs of the late John Mohler Studebaker, millionaire member of the famous Studebaker Corporation, of South Bend, Indiana.
The Mercantile Trust Company, of San Francisco, was made trustee and guardian of the estates of the minors, who by the will of their great grandfather are beneficiaries of a large fund to be distributed to them after they reach their majority. The children, whose father, Harry D. Johnson, Jr., died suddenly about a year ago, are William Studebaker Johnson, aged 12; Lilla E. Johnson, aged 10; Charlotte M. Johnson, aged 8, and Harry D. Johnson III, aged 6. Mrs. Johnson under the terms of the will, is to receive $5000 annually until her death. C. C. Webb, H. De La Montanya and R. A. Carey have been appointed appraisers of the estate left to the San Rafael heirs.
