L. J. Zander Estate Valued At A Million
Louis Jeff Zander, 61-year-old San Rafael resident who died April 9, 1962, left an estate with a clear market value of over one million dollars, an inheritance tax appraiserís report revealed yesterday.
Exact value was $1,068,996.
Zander, owner of National Auto Parts of San Rafael, had resided in San Rafael 40 years. He left $967,546 to his wife, Frances Betty, residing at the family home of 7 MíLiss Lane; $5,625 to his brother, Jack Zander of Ross, from whom he took over the auto parts business, and $19,160 each to the Archbishop Hanna Center for Boys in Sonoma County; St. Vincentís School for Boys, north of San Rafael; pastor of St. Raphaelís Catholic Parish, San Rafael; Guide Dogs for the Blind and Marin County Humane Society.
The estate is handled by Freitas, Allen McCarthy and Bettini law office, San Rafael.
