The Colgan Estate Was In Probate
Mrs. Mary E. Colgan, widow of the late State Controller, Edward P. Colgan, Thursday filed her petition for letters of administration upon the estate of her deceased husband, in the Superior Court of Sacramento county. She alleges that diligent search has failed to disclose the existence of a will, that the property of the estate is worth about $7000, and the heirs are herself and her four children, Edlo M., Evelyn L., Ralph W. and Helen B. Colgan.
In addition to the property enumerated in the petition for letters of administration it is understood that Mr. Colgan left considerable life insurance which will revert to his wife and family.
