J. K. Armsby Will Is Filed for Probate
The J. K. Armsby will and its codicil has been filed for probate in the Superior Court. The will was executed on Jan. 17, 1924, and provides for most of the property of the large Armsby interests, to be placed in trust for the son, Jeffrey Kendall Arnsby, and the daughter, Mrs. Mary Armsby Palmer, the widow, Mrs. Mary Dakin Armsby.
The codicil makes provision for $1000 each to be allowed two granddaughters of the deceased.
The American Trust company is named executor.
The will asks that the stocks and interest in the California Packing Corporation, of which Armsby was head for many years, be disposed of to the brothers, according to deceased, but advises that this interest shall not be sold to anyone unless in the opinion of the trustees such a course becomes necessary.
The brothers mentioned in the will are George W. Armsby, Edwin Armsby, Gordon S. Armsby. Should the stocks be offered for sale the brothers in the order named are to be given the first opportunity to purchase the shares.
