Know all men by these Presents: That I, Margherita Bassi, of the County of Marin, State of California, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and not acting under duress, menace, undue influence do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament.
First: I desire that the expenses of my last sickness and burial shall first be paid out of my estate by my Executor.
Second: I give and bequeath to Attiglio Lafranchi, my nephew, the two vacant lots I own in Tomales, Marin County, California. I also give to my said nephew the house and lots belonging to me in Tomales said county of Marin, state of California, where I formerly resided, during his natural life with remainder over in fee to his children, provided that if he shall die without issue, then and in that case, the same shall go in fee to my three nieces, Angiolina Lafranchi, Carolina Taliaferri and Santina Degiorgi, share and share alike.
Third: I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my Estate of whatsoever character and wherever situate to my three nieces, Angiolina Lafranchi, Carolina Taliaferri and Santina Degiorgi, share and share alike.
Fourth: I appoint F. K Lippitt of Petaluma, California my executor to act with bonds of t his my last will and testament with full power to sell and dispose of any and all my estate.
In witness whereof I have her to set my hand the 19th day of November 1901.
