MYERS--A CHILD INSTANTLY KILLED -- Kate Florence MYERS, 8 years old, was instantly killed on Washington street, San Francisco, by a fire engine running over her which was being driven at a very rapid rate to a fire. She was returning from school at the time and attempted to run across the street in front of the horses, when she was knocked
down and both wheels passed over her body. Her head was badly crushed, apparently by the hoof of one of the horses. When picked up she was dead. She was the daughter of H. MYERS, a pawn-broker on Kearny street.
