Albert E. Crockett

Albert E. (Bud) Crockett, a resident of Redwood City for 63 years, died yesterday at a Peninsula convalescent hospital after a four-year illness. He was 80 years old.

Crockett, whose home was at 860 Walnut St., Redwood City, had been a range service operator for Pacific Gas & Electric Co. He had been with PG&E 46 years prior to his retirement in 1960.

He was a native of Fresno and a member of Pacific Service Employes Association.

His wife, Laurine, is a member of a longtime Redwood City family. Her father, Rudolph C. Holmquist, founded Holmquist Hardware Co. in Redwood City in 1895.

Mr. and Mrs. Crockett had observed their 60th wedding anniversary on March 22.

In addition to his wife, Crockett is survived by a son, Mert Crockett of Salt Lake City Utah; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy O'Sullivan of San Carlos; a sister, Mrs. Edna Ethier of San Jose; five grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Crippen and Flynn Chapel, 400 Woodside Road, Redwood City. Inurnment will be private.
